<p>Michael &ldquo;Boomer&rdquo; McAlpine passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021.<br /> &nbsp;</p> <p>Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend Matt Wilson officiating.<br /> &nbsp;</p> <p>Michael was first born child to Bob and Neva (Cross) McAlpine in Archer City, Texas on June 2, 1953.<br /> &nbsp;</p> <p>Michael was among the first students to attend Nimitz Jr High, obtained his GED and a 2-year Associate Degree. He proudly joined the Air Force in 1973 and served honorably through 1977.<br /> &nbsp;</p> <p>His nickname &ldquo;Boomer&rdquo; was given to him due to his talent, knowledge, and operating skills of most any crane. This man had the patience of Job, he could help you work through anything. He worked at a few crane companies around Odessa, teaching others the operations and safety. Michael&rsquo;s most recent employment was with Grant Smith Trucking as a Field Safety Coordinator.<br /> &nbsp;</p> <p>He certainly had a love for music also. He could sing, play the guitar, and drums. There are a number of bands he played with through the years, enjoyed a good jam with fellow musicians, and jamming at home.</p> <p><br /> Michael is preceded in death by his mother, and wife, Denise.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>He is survived by wife, Kimberly; father, Bob; his &ldquo;Ceta&rdquo;, Janna (Ron) Hanway; daughters, Nikki and boyfriend Aaron, Natina, Kendall Carter and husband Sean, and Angela (Chris) Chancellor; grandsons, Austin, Dallas, Hawk, Braxton, and Valor; brother-in-law, Ron Fishback; his most beautiful canine companion, Nana; as well as several nephews, nieces, and cousins.<br /> &nbsp;</p> <p>Michael&rsquo;s last instruction was &ldquo;read Psalms 91&rdquo;.<br /> &nbsp;</p> <p>Michael&rsquo;s ashes will be cast to the earth at a later date.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Michael “Boomer” McAlpine passed away Thursday, December 2, 2021.
 

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 16, 2021, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home with Reverend Matt Wilson officiating.
 

Michael was first born child to Bob and Neva (Cross) McAlpine in Archer City, Texas on June 2, 1953.
 

Michael was among the first students to attend Nimitz Jr High, obtained his GED and a 2-year Associate Degree. He proudly joined the Air Force in 1973 and served honorably through 1977.

Michael’s last instruction was “read Psalms 91”.
 

Michael’s ashes will be cast to the earth at a later date.
